The Best Superlatives Ever

"Best...day...ever!" exclaimed my daughter with less enthusiasm than her words conveyed.  It sounded more like she was regurgitating something she'd heard in a girly girl show that I probably wouldn't approve of. "You do know that only one day can be the best day ever, right?" She didn't bite that food for thought, and became truly emphatic in her defense.  Why couldn't every pleasure be a good reason to declare that entire day the best day ever? The linguist wonders what society has done with the comparative, and wants to study the decline of the comparative as a concept. The theologian wonders which day was indeed the best day ever in history, or which day is the best day ever in each Christian's life.  The seventh day of Creation, Christ's birth, Good Friday, Resurrection Sunday, Christ's Ascension, and Pentecost are a few good possibilities. Hamas, Iran, & Obama

I'm no expert on geopolitical history in the Middle East, but didn't a U.S. military UAV (drone) crash in Iran during Obama's presidency?  Didn't Obama have the option of either letting the UAV self-destruct or sending in a black-op team to destroy or recover the remainder?  Didn't he let Iran reverse-engineer the UAV? I remember being furious about this news, and knowing that it would only be a matter of time before Iran caused trouble. Didn't Obama once refuse to meet with Israeli P.M. Netanyahu when P.M. Netanyahu was visiting Washington D.C.? I would say that the writing was on the wall back then.  Current events were set in place by Obama, who knew that Iran would need time to reverse-engineer whatever technologies from that U.S. drone which Iran didn't already have.  For refusing to meet with P.M. Netanyahu, Iran would also want to do Obama the favor of not straining U.S.-Iranian tensions excessively during his presidency.  It would be enough for Iran ...
